Despite the MP3 reference in its name, Total Audio MP3 Converter is a multi-format audio conversion tool that adds DVD audio extraction capabilities to its main transcoding functionality. Its support for batch processing allows you to add any number of files and folders to the conversion list and convert the selected batch into any of the 25 audio codecs supported for the output. On the input side, this tool supports more than 270 audio and video formats (or, if you wish, 160 audio decoding codecs and more than 65 encoding codecs).
You can mix audio and video files on the conversion list as needed, and either combine the results into one single audio file or launch a standard one-to-one audio conversion/extraction process. Alternatively, you can insert a DVD or a Blu-ray disc on your drive and let the program select the different audio streams included in it for you to extract them in their original format or to re-encode them into a new one. Likewise, you can also use this tool to rip the audio tracks on your favorite CD.
The number of audio and video codecs supported is certainly overwhelming – you will find it hard to spot a format that Total Audio MP3 Converter cannot deal with, including the most obscure and least popular ones. As expected, you will find specific support for all those audio formats that are most commonly used in the video arena, such as AC3 or DTS. more
